Pain in rear of eyeball-intraocular muscles

Pain in rear of eyeball-intraocular muscles

I am a 30 year old East Indian male, with no underlying health issues or problems. A couple of nights ago I awoke with pain in rear of my right eyeball, near the optic nerve and intraocular muscles. I do not wear contacts, and only wear prescription glasses. I have no history of astigmatism, cataracts, or glacouma. The pain has been very irritating and has been going on for over 4 days now. It mostly occurs when I move my eyes up or down or in a circular motion. When I squeeze my eye, I feel pain in the rear and sides. Do you think its an ocular muscle issue?? Or could it be something more serious?
Thanks

There are very few problems with the EOM that cause pain.  Pain needs to be evaluated by an Eye MD ophthalmologist.
