Pain when looking out of corners of eye

by Graeme11, Apr 11, 2008 06:42PM
I have recently been suffering pain in my left eye. This pain is only felt when I look out of the extreme top, bottom, left or right of my eye and lasts for aroun 4-5 days at a time. I have been to my GP who says this is due to migraines and was prescribed painkillers which do not help the pain in my eye. Since im only 21 im slightly concerned about the frequency of this pain, which has occurred around 6 times in the last 2 months.

I wonder if you might have some type of orbital inflammation, or possible thyoid eye disease or sinusitis.  Please see an ophthalmologist to start you work-up.  Sorry, this is kind of a vague symptom and doesn't point to any one disease I can think of.
