Painted cotact lenses

Could you offer any information about offset contact lenses used to mask strabismus. I also have a few questions if you dont mind.

In what cases are offset contact lenses used to mask strabismus?
Is it obvious to other people that you are wearing a offset contact lense?
Can you still see with the eye even when a offset contact lense is in place?

I have no experience or knowledge about this subject and cannot help you. Before you go down that dubious trail see a strabismus specialist to evaluate your problem and ask them if its worth the expense and risk of trying something dubious like that.
