Papilloedema

Dear Dr.John.We have spoken before and you were a great help to me and I hope you can be again.
I have IIH and paps bilaterally.I had a Vp shunt fitted in Dec 08 and while it is working,it is not able for the pressure I continue to have.Last lp was 32. I was to have a second Vp shunt fitted but is not longer an option due to collapsed ventricles I am not overweight.
My neurosurgeon, who I would rate highly, has sent me home for pain managment and my Ophthlmolgist to keep  an eye on any further deterioration.
I am very concered that because of the continued high pressure that I will lose my eye sight. I already have lost some peripheral vision and still have blurry vision. I  would be most grateful for an explaination  as regards the paps or a site that would help me to understand better what is going on. Thanking you , again, Cath278.
