Patanol

I bought a bottle of Patanol eye drops about a month and three weeks ago, I found the box a couple days ago and noticed on the box that it says discard thirty days after opening... The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....

I find that very surprising.  I would call the  800 number for Alcon pharmaceuticals and ask your question to them.  Again, this doesn't make any sense to me unless you have some oversees preservative free product that is not available in the United States.

And when I said I used three quaters of the bottle, I ment I only had 3/4 left total still left in the bottle....

And this is exactly why I am confused cause on the box it says, discard after 30 days, but then on the bottle the expiry date says 01-2011.. like I am not sure if it is safe to use, or I am misunderstanding the label on the box....
