Permanently disfigured by chalazions?

Hi There,

I have had mutiple chalazions in my left eye for 8 months now. Some have been surgically removed 3 or four times. They have all been injected with steroids with no improvement. Even when they are cut out the lumps are still visible and then they just grow back straight away. I have been on doxycycline and have consistently applied warm compresses etc, lid hygiene. My left eye is now  about twice the size of my right and has been for around 6 months. My eyeball is red. The upper and lower lids are swollen, the whole eye is out of shape. Will it ever heal and go back to normal or am I permanently disfigured? It is really noticeable and I am quite upset.
I have seen three opthalmologists (who all drained them with no improvment) and now am waiting for an appt with an occuplastic surgeon.

You do need an apt with an occuloplastic surgeon.  These areas need to be biopsied.
