Poor vision

Why can I focus out of my right eye if I look through  small holes ? I can see everything , colors shapes lights ect . But I can not read , or get a CDL licence cause of it . As kid they tryed a patch and glasses to help , Is there any fix ?Thanks

Pinholes select out the rays of light that are central and in focus.  Pinhole cameras can create a picture on film without a lens.

If pinhole improves vision glasses or contact should be able to improve vision.

following up on your comment about pinholes improving vision.
I just saw the retina specialist about my continuous movement in the left eye, and seen when it's closed or open.  He found no retina or macula problems, and cannot explain the movement and resulting distortions.  Glaucoma spec. says it's not that disease.  the retina specialist then tried pin holes and a good amount of my internal eye movements were diminished.  I should note that the eye movements are flame like and starbursts, every 2-4 seconds.  I also have PVD and lots of floaters in that eye.  Retina specialist is maknig a special contact lens with a pin hole, intended to do just what you described in your answer to Heathe.  Have you had experience with patients using this pin hole contact lens approach?  If so, what are the possible down sides of this pin hole contact?Russell903
