Positional headaches for 6 years and recently discovered mass behind right eye.

Positional headaches occur when upside down (in yoga). Started about 6 years ago, had an MRI and EEG. Both normal. Over the years, headaches persisted but recently got worse.

First an eye exam - doctor told me that optical nerve was slightly enlarged, did a glaucoma test, came back negative. Then family doc referred CT scan, came back showing mass in right orbital socket, not attached to tear gland. Recent physical came all normal results. What could this be?

This is a very specialized area of ophthalmology and you will need to see an oculoplastic surgeon that is trained in evaluation and treatment of this problem. The regular comprehensive ophthalmologist is not. It could be anything from a benign lacrimal gland tumor that requires no treatment to a malignant lesion.
