Possibe eye infection / contact damage

Hello, I have a question regarding my eye problem that begun yesterday when I woke up.  I woke up with burning sensation in my eye (left), thus I got up and took my contacts out.  I know I should take my contacts out every night, and I had to learn it the hard way.  At first I thought it's a pink eye because there was a constant watery substance coming out from my eye, but that's all that comes out.  My eyes are so sensitive now that I can't even watch tv, drive when it's light outside, or even look at a light.  I couldn't sleep all ngiht because my eye would hurt so much and it's very red and swollen.  It waters so much that I even have sinus in my left nose from the discharge / sensitivity.  I'm scared because I don't want to be neglectful with my eyes but I don't have insurance so if it's not anything serious and it should go away soon I prefer to wait it out.  What should I do?

You have to go to a doctor immediately (an opthomologist). This could be a serious infection. You can lose vision from contact infections. Go to an ER if you need to (call ahead to make sure they have an opthomologist on staff if you are in doubt - large hospitals will). This is VERY important. Time is VERY important.
