Possible drusen 27 year old female. Need advice!

Hi I went into my eye dr feeling like I had been having issues with bright lights and such. He did an exam on me and said my vision is good and that I'm extremely observant to letters and objects, I guess I noticed things in the exam other patients never noticed... So thats what he explained. Before the exam was over he gave me an eye wash and said my sensitivity from light was more than likely an eye infection. Then he printed off a picture of my right eye and showed me yellow speckling of my macula :(! He told me not to freak out that it's not macilar degeneration, but he did want me to see my retina specialist. I have histoplasmosis in my eyes and have to have it checked yearly. Althogh I married 3 years ago and have had 2 kids in the process so I haven't been in a while. Shame on me! Anyways... I'm freaked out about this. Can you just have yellow speckling in your macula and it be normal? I'm a 27 tear old female.

Nothing to worry about.  If you are nervous, just go to the retina specialist sooner rather than later.  Unlikely to have drusen only in one eye at your age.  Just go see a retina specialist soon and put your concerns to rest.

Also he said ti go into see them .. The specialist within a year. So does it sound serious? Wouldn't he had sent me right away if it was dangerous? Thanks for any kind help! :))))
