Post Retinal detachment scleral buckle

Post Retinal detachment scleral buckle

Hi

It's been a month since my buckle operation to fix a detached retina.

My sight in the operated eye is suffering from colour perception issues, colours appear washed out and things are not vibrant. Green/blue are difficult to differentiate. There's a yellowish tint to my vision. Is this normal and expected to recover?

Also, my pupil cannot constrict making me photosensitive. Will this recover eventually?

Also, are buckle removals recommended?

1. color differences can be due to retina/macula damage or cataract formation. Ask your surgeon.
2. If you are using a red top boddle it keeps the pupil dilated, when you stop it can take weeks to wear off. On the other hand a permanently dilated pupil can occur after a scleral buckle.
3. Rarely are buckles removed.
