Post lasik number

Hello doctor
I had lasik surgery in 2003 and my number came back in 2007
Now since the last 6 to 7 years as far as I know my number is stable in both eyes and also my pentacam reports are same since last two years ( two years back was first time I got pentacam) my pentacam reports say entasis in right eye and mild or no ectaisia in left eye
My number in left eye is -2.75 cylindrical at 140 degree
Right eye is -5.5 cylindrical at 40 degree
My vision is 6/6 with spectacles
Now will my vision deteriorate further if it is stable from last 6 years at least
Can I consider c3r or not required ?

Yes of course there is no progression but I thought progression may start and I should know the treatment
But i met local doctor and he said if no progression from six years then its unlikely that it may progress
still told me to get pentacam test every year

There are two types of C3r
One is epi on done by a doctor In California and epi off done in Europe
Which one is better ?

It's irrelevant. You don't need either.

Thanks doctor
I understand now and hope there is no progression also I wanted to add that my corneal thickness is 460 micron in both eyes
But in case there is progression
Can I go for C3r ? Are the results promising ?
Thanks again

No does not always progress. Stable for 6 years is great. Nothing simple you can do to prevent progression.

You have 5.5 diopters of astigmatism in your right eye, that is a very spherical cornea. On the other hand its favorable that you can see 6/6 with glasses. Most corneas with 5.5 D astigmatism and ectasia would not see that well with glasses and would be in rigid contact lens

Thanks dr
Local doctor says since number is stable no need for c3 r
Secondly if entasia is stable or number is stable for six years can it increase with age .
I am 36 year old
Secondly can bodybuilding or lifting weights increase the chance of number increase ?

Where do you live? It never hurts to get a second opinion if possible. Stable is good for 3 years. Ectasia (progressive weakening of the cornea and changing shape) can start again at any time. You will have to ask your eye MD about the bodybuilding and weights. It is known that heavy lifting and straining temporarily increase the pressure in the eye, not a good thing with ectasia.

your numbers are troublesome. The word is "ectasia" I would get several opinions from the most respected cornea/refractive surgeons in your area.
