Post-op cataracts - sudden distance change

Post-op cataracts - sudden distance change

hello - i'm 3 weeks & 5 weeks bi-lateral post-op cataracts... have been seeing 20/20 so i was told...suddenly yesterday in the 3 wk old  eye things started to get a little blurry at the farthest distance (i noticed the change while driving -things seems 'off-kilter' so back home i closed each eye to check against the other-and i was right in my assumption! ) and  the 3 wk eye  no longer 'matched' the 5 week old eye BUT i still see distance just not as far as the 5 wk old  eye.  Also the 3 wk old eye is a 'tad' dimmer.... is this one of the reasons that Rx glasses are not prescribed until about 6 weeks post-op ?  I hope i didn't confuse you but should i panic?  ( i do that well ).... many thanks in advance

Why don't you call your surgeon's office and ask your questions.

Yes this is something that should be reported to your surgeon today.

Did call asap this morning - seeing doctor Friday morning - thank you so much -- hopefully it is a temporary situation... -Nurse  asked about  'curtain'/flashes/pain, etc. none of which exists - I am  on Econopred and read that one of the side-effects can be 'blurring' (however i'm still seeing distance - just not 20/20 as before)  -i'm in the 'weaning' process of 3x day this week/ then 2x next week then 1x then 'stop' so hopefully that is the cause.   I am now totally off all meds for the right eye which seems to be holding it's 'own' ... ... i'm sure they will check my 'pressure' , etc.  again thank you !

Sorry took so long to get back here after seeing doctor friday morning  - manners should have dictated otherwise but now husband has a medical issue that took up the rest of the weekend - place turning into a clinic ..
Saw dr. friday morning ... he put some drops(?) then examined with his equipment + blue light exam (?)  found no indication of any 'medical' problems causing  the 'bluriness'  ...everything is as it should be with the implants, etc.
Tested with eye chart -reading 20/30 in the eye i was complaining about (three weeks ago it 'was' 20/20 now 20/30 )...  tried  two different distance correction-lenses that definitely improved my left eye .
insofar as the right eye, now  i'm seeing better than 20/20 -reading this time was 15/20 -- is that possible ?  how does 'that' happen !!  i didn't ask - he didn't tell...but he was happy.
He acknowledged once my astigmatism/close/intermediate is 'corrected' i'll feel more comfortable also. But it was a big relief to know nothing was wrong causing the bluriness !
Thanks so much for reading this !

Thanks for your good wishes -- it's good to know all is alright - of course i won't ''totally' rest until i'm finished with the last of the drops - Econopred(steriod, i think) - that i'm now 'weaning' on both eyes ...i read so many of these posts containing post-op problems others are having and don't know if they had great results early-on like me , only to have complications arise later .. i know... don't 'court trouble' - LOL ... THANKS AGAIN !
