I am having surgery for a macular hole in my right eye on July 6th.  What kind of medical apparatus is helpful to keep eye lowered?

You can rent head-down position equipment from many companies search the web or ask your doctor for any companies near you. Go to google and search macular hole recovery equipment or vitrectomy reocvery equipment.

One note though, the equipment is generally pretty expensive to rent. Many people have done just fine without having to rent equipment. It may be difficult to maintain a face-down position for most of the day and while sleeping, but it's not impossible.

Best of luck!
