Pregnancy Related Eye Problems

I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing some eye problems for about a month. I have blurred vision, dry eye, and they often get bloodshot. I wear contacts and have tried my glasses, but my vision continues to remain the same. I had an eye exam and nothing is wrong with my eye physically and my blood pressure is good. Is this a normal part of pregnancy? I do have a high prescription(-10.50) and (-9.50).  Thank you very much!!

Unfortunately there can be some significant shifting and/or blurring of vision during pregnancy.  The important thing is to have a complete eye exam with ophthalmologist to rule out any real physical problems with the eyes or other.  And of course keep close follow up with OB doctor.  If things are still going badly with vision, consider another appt with ophthalmologist for recheck.  All problems should get better after the baby is born, hopefully.
