Problems after GPC?

Hello Doctor

I got GPC on my left eye when I overused my contacts and I was on Lotemax for about 2 months, the bumps went away but I still have problems on my left eye. its usually redder than my right eye and my upper eyelid gets itchy and swollen randomly time to time, I tried Allaway but it didn't help, I also use a lot of Artificial tears and Gels so I'm sure its not from dryness. I went to the doctor and he said he would like to try Alrex and Restasis on me, but its very expensive and I'm afraid it won't work like Lotemax didn't 1 year has passed from the time I had GPC and it doesn't seem to have got any better. sometimes my left eyelid swells to a point that I can't look up. Is this a permanent thing now? What should I do about it?

Doesn't sound like something that I can explain but doesn't seem alarming.

Thanks Doctor

1 last thing that I forgot to mention.

When I do get all those problems my left eye, my left eye sees darker than my right eye, I only notice this when I close 1 of my eyelids. Its not too much difference but its noticeable. Do you think thats related to my current disease or is it something else?

cromolyn is available as a generic. It often has to be used for 6-12 monthsl. Treatment for dry eyes should continue while being used. This should be done under the care and observation of an ophthalmologist (Eye MD physician).
