Pterygium ~ Should there be PAIN associated??

Pterygium ~ Should there be PAIN associated??

Posted By Dallas on August 13, 1999 at 09:57:50
I was told several months ago that I have a pterygium in my left eye.  After a couple of weeks, the redness and irritation were no longer noticeable.
Two days ago redness began in the same eye and the pterygium seems larger and more noticeable this time ... It definitely feels like there's something in my eye :-)
What I am experiencing this time that I DON'T think was there last time is pain!  It sort of feels like a bad bruise-type pain in my eye and if I try to focus on something or turn my eyes too much, the pain is even more noticeable!
Is that common/uncommon or unheard of with pterygia??
Thanks for this forum!!
