Pupil Damage

I read you answer regarding Pupil Dilation after Detatched Retina surgury.  My left eye was operated on after a Detatched Retina and my Pupil is permanently dialated and it looks very odd to others.  Is there any type of "fix" for this situation?  I was told that the doctor that did the surgury should have been more careful as to not to damage the muscles that control the pupil dilation???  Is this accurate?  I would like to know if there is anything that can be do to correct this problem  I know there are cosmetic contact lenses, but is there anything permanant?  I will look forwaed to your reply.  Thank you.

1. Damage to the pupil with RD surgery is most always unavoidable.
2. If the pupil is made smaller with a pursestring type suture then it will not dilates and is always small making the retina hard to check the retina.
3. Sometimes a drop (pilocarpine) can  be used to make the pupil small.
