Pupil Dilation and MS

by essdipity, Mar 16, 2009 09:46AM
Hi. I'm wondering  whether it is signficant when the pupils dilate unevenly when drops are inserted during a routine eye exam. I'm guessing that the more dilated pupil simply got a bigger dose of drops. By evening everything was back to normal.

However, I have MS, and the bigger pupil was the right, where I tested abnormal on the visual evoked potentials.

Thanks for any responses.

No.  Pupil size as far as light is concerned is from both eye.  There may be damage to the dilating or constricting muscles of the eye.
