Pupil Size

Just wondering.. my pupils are slightly different.. we're talking a millimeter TOPS. Nothing that you'd notice unless you were an inch away from my face. The larger one seems to be in my right eye and my vision is slightly worse in that eye. Is there any correlation and is this anything to be worried about? I looked at some pictures from awhile ago & they have always seemed to differ slightly. How "different" do they have to be to raise concern? I just had an eye exam 2 months ago.

If you use very exact measuring devices about 10% of "normal" people have pupils of different sizes ("aneisocoria"). If its been there all of your of your life it's not a concern. Larges differences that suddenly develop are a different matter.

I suspect that one eye seex better than the other is ocular dominance and not related to pupil size.

I am 49 years old;I have been scheduled for surgery due to congenital cataract.  what are the complications, since this cataract is fully mature?

You need to discuss that with the surgeon. Generally the risks are infection, bleeding, retinal detachment, inflammation, inability to implant IOL, vitreous loss, loss of eye. Generally complications occur about 1-4% of the time.
