Push-ups and retina

Dear experts,

is it safe generally for a person with a lattice degeneration in both eyes treated with a laser to do push-ups on a regular basis? It's the traditional exercise performed in a prone position (face down) by lowering the body using the arms.

Thank you!

Most likely yes.  You have to live your life.  You may want to avoid boxing, bungie (spelling?) jumping, tackle football etc (things that involve sudden jostling of the head).

I've just realized that forgot to say: I have myopia -9 in both eyes. Does it change the strategy concerning push-ups (or pull-ups) exercises? My laser surgeon had never told me about any restrictions on my daily activities, only "you need to have a regular fundus exam one time per one or two years".

Thank you! And excuse me for a double-questioning!

Same still applies.  I would recommend a dilated exam by a retina specialist 2 x a year to be safe.  Average person needs an annual, if history of problems, twice at a minimum.
