Quick Decrease in eye prescription

I have recently had a severe change in my prescription in a
very short period of time. In one month my prescription changed
in my right eye from a -6.75 to a -8 and in my left eye from a
-7 to a -8. I have worn contacts for the past 2 years and I wore
glasses since I was in the second grade. I am a 32 year old female.
Was wondering what could cause such a quick change and if I should
be concerned or check into other things.
