REturning to yoga and active lifestyle

by cjneenie, Sep 10, 2008 03:40PM
I have been diagnosed with a PVD incident.  After returning to my optomitrist after three weeks he is sending me to see a retinal specialist because he has pause based on the traction he sees in the eye.  I continue to have flashing lights in peripheal vision also.
He has okayed a return to yoga tonight and I see the retina doctor Friday.
Is there any danger in my situation beginning internediate yoga if I am careful.

I would avoid things like downward dog or anything where your are repeatedly face down.  This will make vitreous move away from retina somewhat - which could cause a retinal tear or detachment in this post pvd period.
