Radiation induced Retinopathy/Retinoblastoma Survivor

When I was 3 years old in 1985 I was treated for Unilateral Retinoblastoma (right side) at Will's Eye in PA. I am now having leakage in my right eye. I have had laser surgery which helped about 25% of the leakage. Now my Dr. wants me to try AVASTIN. Since I am so young I am wondering if it is worth the risk.

My plan at this time is to get the shot next week. After this I want to continue on with my pregnancy plans. How long should I wait post injection before trying to become pregnant?

Due to my job I have alot of eye contact with my patients. How long will the bloodshot/redness in my eye last?

This is an investigational off label use. You will need to discuss PG plans with your surgeon and OB-GYN.
