Random blurriness

I don't wear glassas or contacts, never have.  But over the last year or so, I very seldmoly get a blurry spot in my vision.  If I try to focus on the spot, generally on the left of my vision, it appears to me in motion, like slowly spinning. Closing either eye doesn't make a difference, but obviously closing both eyes makes it go away.  I don't have any other symptoms: headache, pain, or nausea, and it happens at different times, some times driving or at my desk.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Could represent a visual migraine - possibly.  I haven't heard enough description from you, though.  I certainly recommend you see an ophthalmologist for a complete exam, since your symptoms are definitely  not normal.

Thank your for the response.  The blur does move when I look in other directions or move my head.  As I posted above, I should probably get checked out.

Thanks again.

My father had mentioned at some point that he had been diagnosed with something similar.  Basically it's a migrain, but it doesn't hurt the head, but effects the eyes.  I probably should see an eye doctor, it's been years.  Thank you for the post response.

Dear jeffrflowers,

I would definitely recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the cause of your symptoms.  He/she may ask whether it moves when you move your eye.
