I was told I was not a candidate due to the shape of my eyes. I am very curious about the risk factor. How common is it? Should I get a second opinion? Should I just wait for new technology?

i would need to examine you personally and to get computerized mappings of your cornea to determine if u r a lasik candidate. that being said i am confused as to why u were told that lasik was too dangerous, but prk would be ok. usually if a patient is not a laser candidate it is for both prk and lasik. there are some disorders that can rule out a patient for this surgery, but i would have to examine u personally to know if that was the reason.
