What would cause increasing nearsightedness in a person in their 40s?  Most people my age are becoming more farsighted, but I am becoming more & more nearsighted (eg, new glasses prescription only "works" for 8-10 months & then I need a new prescription again in order to see well enough to drive).  My eye dr just keeps giving me new glasses & says my eyes look "fine" but this does not seem normal to me.  Any causes for concern?  Thx!
