Hi.  For the last week or so, my eye has been twitching like crazy.  I ordinarily would ignore it but it is driving me crazy!  I'm pretty sure it is just fatigue or stress, but it got so bad I called my doctor.  He suggested I drink a few glasses of tonic water for the quinine and it has helped, but I was wondering if there are any suggestions for how eyes can be "rested"?  I get plenty of sleep, but I work with a computer which is, I assume, a big contributor to the fatigue.  I can not simply not use my computer or read for any extended period of time.  Any thoughts?

Well I am glad you are doing better.  You are describing blepharospasms.  It is not uncommon to have intermittent spasms of the eyelid like you described and they usually get better with no treatment.  Fatigue and eye strain can precipitate this.  I agree that there is not much you can do to much to change this.  Occasionally changes in diet or exercize programs can precipitate this.  If this becomes a chronic problem you should be seen by your ophthalmologist to rule out any eye problems.  Good luck
