Hello,
I have had Lasik done on my both eyes a year ago and I have been having vision fluctiation since.  My prescription was around -8 in each eye.  After the surgery I had a 20/20 vision, but now it has been degraded to 40/20, it can be corrected by wearing glasses or possibly an enhancement.  My major concern is the vision fluctuation though.  The doctors at TLC tell me that they had not seen such a case before.  Usually, vision fluctuations are commom for the first three month, but not for a year.  Has anyone seen such case and do you have any comments?
Appreciate it,
Sepideh

This is certainly not typical.  I will speak with some of my collegues and see if they have experienced such.  It would be important to see if your refraction actually changes.  Your eye doctor should be checking this.  You may have some type of corneal dystrophy that may be causing vision fluctuations.  Another possibility although unlikely would be that a metabolic process such as diabetes may be causing this.  You may want to have your blood sugar checked.  Now if the vision is not truly fluctuating but has changed and is stable you may want to consider an enhancement.

Hmmmm...  I have done my annual exam  a couple of months ago and there was no sign of blood sugar.  I certainly do not know if my refraction is changing or not.   It seems to be changing though.  The fluctuations certainly get effected by amount of sleep I get and how tired my eyes get.  I also feel like the vision can get effected by amount of water I drink (is that normal???)  Also another thing that has an amazing positive effect is physical exersice in the heat (beach volleyball) I feel that I get a much better vision after such exercise for period of time(few hours)!!!!  My doctor could not explain this either.
I have been using refresh PM drops and ointment at night to recover from dry eye syndroms (syndromes).  Last time I was at doctor he mentioned that he does not see any problems with the surface of my eyes.  They all say that the surface of my eye looks good.
Can you please explain what you mean by corneal dystrophy?
Are there any eye exersices that can help with eye vision?  I know of the pencil push ups.  I would like to get a source of eye exersices if possible.
Thank you for the time you take to explain things.
