My daughter has 20/400 vision in her right eye, and 20/20 in the left.
She had eye screenings with results of 20/20 in each eye before an accident,(she noticed blurry vision.)
We have been seeing  a doctor. We have been patching with eye glasses for 2 months
with little improvement, 20/100 with glasses. The doctor has not ran any test other than looking in her
eye. Is there any suggestions of test or questions I could ask about?
michelle-
if as you say that your child was seeing well prior to the accident and has had blurry vision since, i would be very suspicious of damage to her optic nerve on that side. this is called a traumatic optic neuropathy, and as the name implies it is the result of some type of blunt trauma. i would like to know more details about the accident in question.  if the eye itself appears normal then i would be very suspicious of an optic nerve injury. what exactly was the accident???
key words: optic nerve, neuropathy
