Recovery from lens replacement surgery

How long after lens replacement surgery should I expect complete recovery?

By complete recovery I mean no swollen eyelid, redness, itching , etc.

Would recovery be hampered by having to using latanoprost and timolol drops due to glaucoma?

Thanks for your time.

Thank you for your reply. Just one more question. Do your doctors feel the same way concerning the use of timolol after surgery as well?

Thanks again.

There should be significant visual recovery after a week and by one month it should be pretty well healed.  My doctors do not like to use latanoprost after cataract surgery because it may increase the incidence of CME (macular edema).

Is that still true?
It varies depending on the surgeon and how severe the glaucoma is and what other glaucoma medications the person is on. Some surgeons stop latanoprost and other similiar drugs  Lumigan and Travatan Z  others don't.
