Recurring Pink Eye

by KaraLeung, Aug 30, 2009 09:50AM
Recently I have developed what I believe to be "pink eye". The symptoms include red/pink eyes in color and a sort of milky discharge, especially in the morning. My eyes are NOT itchy nor do I feel ill.

I wore my contacts for approximately a week and a half until my eyes were completely visibly better. When I put them back in my eyes were fine for about a week. It's important to know that I changed contacts, contact lens cases, cleaned pillow cases and sheets, etc. I woke up this morning with slightly pink eyes and in one eye a good amount of milky discharge.

I'll be honest, I am not the most reliable hand washer despite knowing the importance, especially when handling my contacts. Could this be recurring due to lack of sanitation?

It might also be important to know I have pink eye symptoms fairly often, I would guess about 3-5 times a year.

HELP!

You need to see an ophthalmologist.
