Red Eyes

by SteffyC, Apr 25, 2009 03:57AM
My eyes are red quite often, but they tend to be red across the eye, ie in a horizontal line to the left and right of the iris. Not on the top or bottom of the iris. If you can imagine, the redness runs across the eye where the eyelashes meet. They also tend to be glassy and sometimes they ache. I feel like I have a headache behind my eyes, especially in the morning. What could this be?

The causes of red eyes are too numerous to list. See an Eye MD ophthalmologist for an exam. Find one at www.aao.org
