Red Ring Around Iris

I accidently fell asleep in my contacts last night and have woke up to red eye on right side with a slight ring around iris.  No vision problems and only slight dryness.  Will this be solved by letting my eyes breath is this an infeciton and i need to see an eye doctor.

I must be getting this confused then. So are they two different infections because I was prescribed oral antibiotics and an antibiotic eye drop.

Yes, sinus can affect your eyes, but usually not as you describe.

When I posted that comment it was the 3rd day of redness.  And I actually went back to opthalmologist and apparently I have a bad sinus infection.  I thought sinus' were in your nose area how could this affect my eyes?

Leave the contact lens out for a few day.  This should get better, if not see
an ophthalmologist.
