Red Veins in Corner of Eyes

After wearing contacts for a long length of time i develop very bloodshot eyes. After removing my contact i have my veins in my eyes that are hard to go away. I have posted a picture of these. Can someone tell me what it's from?
What can i do to get rid of this?

I noticed your comment and I have the same thing.  What did your doctor say you had?

At this point I think you need a real live in person exam by an Eye MD ophthlamologist. Find one  near you  at www.aao.org and don't muddy the water by resuming your contacts.

Hi Dr. Hagan,
I took your recommendation and have not worn my contacts for the last few weeks. The redness temporarily went away, but then after a few days it returned. Any recommendations?
I have used ever eye drop over the counter (systane, bausch and lomb, ect.)
Thanks

Thanks again! I am going to try to go a week without my contact and see if there are any improvements. Next step is probably LASIK.
Take care, Rob

The most common problem BY FAR of redness in anyone that wears contacts are the contacts.

If you don't want to wear glasses or have red eyes then seriously consider lasik.

If you are seeing an Eye MD ophthalmologist then they should be able to reassure you you have no disease. if you see an optometrist non-MD then see an eye MD soon. Find one at www.aao.org

Thanks for your time... and thoughts on my eye problem.
Would you reccommend LASIK? (My eye doctor says im a candidate), and is there anything i can do to relieve the redness?

Lastly, Should i be concerned of any permanent damage to the eye or disease?

For a start stop wearing contacts. Contacts are a foreign body in your eye and deprive your cornea of oxygen. Redness irritation and production of new blood vessels are a consequence.

If you have stopped wearing them then see an Eye MD to rule out other causes such as allergy, dry eyes, blepharitis, etc.
