Red dots in visual fields

HI:

Sometimes when I'm reading or using my computer, I can see a red spot that suddenly comes and goes. About four months ago I saw two different ophthalmologists and they looked inside my eye and told me that there was nothing wrong with my retina. However, I keep having floaters which was the reason for my visit and now this red spot. Someone told me that this could be a sign of retinal detachment and I'm really worried.

Im thinking that maybe I should see a neurologist in case it is a tumor or something with my brain.

Any advise?

Thanks!!

See a neuro-ophthalmologist  rather than a neurologist.
