Red itchy eyelids

About two weeks ago my eyelids started to itch.  At first it was just the upper eyelids but now it has moved to the bottom as well.  It stings a bit when I put moisturizer on them but other than that there isn't a whole lot of discomfort.  Sometimes in the morning there is a bit of "crust" around the eyes that seems like perhaps there is some drainage but none of the symptoms I can find on the internet seem to fit including Blepharitis.  I have a few days off and am going to try going without make up to see if it is an allergy.  Does anyone else have anything they can suggest that might be the problem.  I use Lancome make up which I have used for years and have changed any personal care products recently.  I have not been to see a doctor yet.  Was hoping I could resolve this on my own.  Not working right now so no insurance.  (This is not a great look for interviews!)

Everything that can be said is in that discussion thread that I think dates back to the turn of the century (kidding).

I'm sure the doctors here will have suggestions, but just for amusement (since the subject is by nature so very, very funny, uh-huh), you might enjoy knowing that this is one of the largest, longest-running topics in this forum:
