Redness above cornea

Hello

I am a software engineer by profession so have long hours sitting in front of computer and from last 5-6 months my eyes are creating so much trouble to me that i sometime not able to open my eyes because of so much irritation and dryness feeling in my eyes. I noticed dark red lines under my upper eyelid just above my cornea in both eyes, the redness only show up when i lift my eyelid above with my fingers, they are horrible. I visited a good eye doctor in my area he suggested my some eye drops to be used as per following schedule

Refresh tears eye drops - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
FML eye drops - 9: AM - 6 PM

I am using these from over last one month but i think they are not working for me.

Please help me with this. I am also uploading one of my eye's picture

Regards

Hello Sir

One more thing i forgot to mention, when i visited last doctor she repeatedly asked me that am i sure that i am not having pain while pressing on the affected area. Although i was not feeling pain by pressing but that question is making me worry that i could have some serious problem.

I would really appreciate if you can comment on that.

Sorry for bothering you again

Yes any inflammation on the surface of the eye can be termed episcleritis. However the location is very unusual as common episcleritis occurs at 3 and 9 oclock. When it occurs at 12 oclock SLK is a common cause. Be sure you mention SLK to the eye MD.

Hello Sir

Thanks for your precious time and for replying back. After reading your suggestion, i visited another doctor she is (MS ophthalmologist) and suggested me that i have "Episcleritis" and i have to use eye drops "Prednisolone Acetate 1% Pred Forte" as per the following schedule.

4 times daily for 1 week
and for next week twice daily
and then stop using it
but asked me to continue refresh tears.

Anyways the previous doctor i visited was also MS Eye surgeon and the doctor i visited this time told me that the drops my previous doc. suggested is not going to work.
Dont know if they are also going to work or not but my condition has not improved yet.

Although this is my first day to use new eye drops lets see if they works. I just wanted to get you in loop so that you should know what treatment i am getting and would like to hear better suggestion from you.

See an ophthalmologist that specializes in cornea and external disease. Take in copy of that picture. Do not let the technicians put in any drops until the Eye MD looks at your eye. Show him/her the view of your eye above looking down.

Ask if you might have "superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis"  that picture is strongly suggestive of that entity.
