Relation in stress on eyes and lattice formation?

by FirstLattice, Jul 23, 2009 01:22PM
I have high myopia with powers of -13 and -15.Recently i went for routine check-up of my eyes and i was diagnosed with lattice in retina of my right eye, thus my doctor advised me LASER operation to fix it.
I want to know whether sitting long hours (10-12 hrs a day) in front of computer screen be harmful for my retina
My profession requires me to sit long hours in front of computer screen thus putting my eyes under stress.Do i need to  consider changing my profession after the surgery for betterment of my eyes?

Computer use does not damage the eye.
Computer use, watching tv, and reading will NOT damage the eye, even if done for long periods of time. They may exacerbate dry eyes, but that's pretty much it.

The lattice you have is a result of the high myopia not computer use.
