Repeatedly Get Corneal Ulcers

Repeatedly Get Corneal Ulcers

I am 27 Years Old, Female, have worn contact lenses for 10 years and never had a problem until recently...I am on my THIRD corneal ulcer in the past 18 months, Nov '07, Sept '08, and Mar '09...I don't understand how I can keep getting these when I take my contacts out every night, I never sleep in them, I use hydrogen based contact cleaner at night, I only wear my contacts if I need to see clearly (at work or while driving, not while hanging out at home)...I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and my doc is looking into a possibility of my pituitary gland not functioning properly...

From this, is there anything that I need to ask my doctor to look into?

Is this likely to just keep happening at this rate?

What is causing this if the doc claims it's not an infection, because antibiolics have absolutely no effect on the ulcers, steroids are the only thing that seem to help?

Thank you for your time and attention in advance.

You must have a marginal corneal ulcer since it responds to steroids.  Most of these patients have blepharitis and it needs to be treated.
