Replacement of IOL

Replacement of IOL

A month back I had undergone a cataract operation on my left eye by Facco emulsyfication method. Till date full vision has not come. Upto a distance of 4 feet I can see things clearly but beyond this visibility is not sharp and clear. Doctor has prescribed -1.0 spherical -1.5 cylindrical 70 degree axis (p) power for this eye. But even with this glass I am not getting as much vision as with  my right eye which too was operated for cataract with the same method  by the same doctor six years ago and till date is giving very  good vision. What can be done to rectify this abnormality? Can the IOL used in the left eye, which probably is wrongly selected, be replaced with a new and correct IOL? What is your opinion?

Nothing indicates an IOL power problem and you should judge your vision by what its like with no line bifocals on both eyes. It could be that one eye is stronger than the other (dominant eye).

YOu may want to get a second opinion from another eye MD surgeon
