Restasis Vs Cosopt

I had a baer veldt implant on May 22 07. Have suffered with acute dry eye since then. IOP was nine after stitches dissolved .
My eye doctor prescribed Restasis first part of October and within six weeks vision was much much improved, in fact very good. When I went back to the Glaucoma specialist on Jan 3, press in that eye was at 23. He put me on two drops of Cosopt per day and now vision is almost as poor as it was before Restasis. If this is the cause, would some other type of eye drop work better with Restasis?. Cosopt twice a day is the only press reducing medication that I am on in that eye.
I seem to be in the position at this time to not use the drops and enjoy good vision with possible loss of the eye, or lose the effects of good vision, but retain the peripheral benefit of the affected eye which is very important while driving and changing lanes of traffic. Tough decision.

You are an incredibly foolish person if you do not treat yourself for glaucoma.  Glaucoma is a major cause of stone cold total blindness. Discuss your concerns and problems with your Eye MD. Cosopt has two mediciations in them a beta blocker and a CAI inhibitor Trusopt.  Trusopt can make dry eye symptoms worse.  Your Eye MD can try just a beta blocker, a prostaglandin analog or try SLT laser treatment.
