Dear nahid54,

The Restor lens works best for reading if you read under bright light conditions and hold the material in the “sweet spot”.  It may also depend upon the prescription of the eye and whether one or both eyes were treated. I recommend that you speak with your eyeMD about your symptoms.

I am not a doctor only a former Restor patient. Restor should theoretically provide good near and distance vision, but only fair intermediate. You did not mention if your distance vision is any good. If it is blurry as well it could be residual astigmatism, which should be able to be corrected with glasses, laser treatment or limbal relaxing incisions. Also theoretically Restor works best in pairs. I did not know if you had only one Restor.

In my case my measurements were so far off that I wound up farsighted with no clear vision at any distance. I had the Restor explanted. I have a thread on this forum about that. Hopefully you will be able to correct your problems with Restor. Good luck.
