Retinal Detachement + Scleral Buckle + Lasik Surgery

If you have the scleral buckle surgery for retinal detachment, is Lasik recommended?

I have macular distortion in the center vision (wavy vision), and -11 on my RD eye.

I know it wont be 20/20 but at least I can wear glasses that isn't so thick.

Is this recommended or is it a no-no?

All the optametrist tell me it's dangerous, and the ophtamalogist tell me it's 50/50.

Please advise...

Only your treating retina surgeon can give you a go ahead.  I would disregard the optom.
