i had retinal detachment on 7/7/09 procedure used was a scleral buckle and gas bubble in left eye my vision is coming back but its blurry and wavy dr says everything attached but i was wondering is blurry vision normal. Also is cataracts development normal dr says i may be developing but i never had this until this until after rd surgery  he also said a lens will be used eliminating the use of contacts in that eye.  im concerned that having cataract surgery may bring rd back

Use the search feature and archives to read about post RD surgery problems. When the retina is reattached especially if the macula was pulled off the vision often does NOT return to normal, cataracts can develop post operatively.
