Retinal Scar Tissue?

Retinal Scar Tissue?

In Septmeber of this year I sustained trauma to my right eye that caused a detached retina. I had an emergency surgery to fix it where the surgeon put a silicone band around the eye and filled the inside of the eye with an oil. A month later, the doctor found that scar tissue was growing on the retina and pulling it back up, so I had another operation. This time they put in a gas bubble that required me to be face-down for 12 days.
Three days ago, we went for a two-month check up, where the doctor found that scar tissue was growing again, and within a month, I have to have a THIRD surgery to remove it and put a long-term oil in the eye.
I'm really getting tired of surgeries... Is there anything I can do to lessen the chance of the scar tissue coming back a third time after this operation?
