Retinal damage from long night driving

Sir,
I apologise to bother you time and again and can't express in words how much your write ups mean to me. My history is here :

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Eye-Care/Retinal-tear-possibility-from-back-of-f-head-banging-against-car-doorframe/show/2988124#post_14222304

Last evening I had to drive 4 hours in the night on highway and the light from incoming traffic , and glares from rear mirrors resulted in eye pain and headache. I have read that such light can damage retina.

Sir, please share your thoughts and if you think I should consult eye MD?

Thanks.
