Retinal detachment reoccurence

Dear Doc
I had a retinal detachment in my left eye 3 years which was fixed by scleral buckel....and my right eye was treated by cryo.....my question is what are the chances of my retina detach again.......dont you think that vitrectomy would have reduced the chances of it happening again....................thanks

After your treatment no generalities apply. Only your retina surgeon can handicap you and give you odds. Disucss with tye retina MD
