Retinal detachment surgery recovery

Retinal detachment surgery recovery

Recently (10 days ago) had scleral buckle procedure for torn retina.  1 week post op, there was still fluid behind the retina but buckle "appeared to be supporting retina."  Checking again next week.  Anything I can do to help promote repair? Drink more/less fluid?  Diuretic?  Any natural herbs that might help?  I am a motivated patient.

Less eye use will promote absorption of the fluid.  Also, bilateral eye patches and resting helps.
