Retinal hemorrhaging

Last time I went to the opthalmologist he told me he saw some evidence of blood vessels hemorrhaging from diabetes in my left eye.  I have since noticed that sometimes I feel a pin pricking sensation in my eyes.  Am I feeling retinal hemorrhaging?

I would recommend that you speak with your eyeMD about your sensation.  There are other conditions which might be associated with foreign body sensation and might occur in diabetes as well.  The front surface of the eye should be examined.
